Serving the children of the southern madison county
The purposes for which said corporation is formed are to assist needy persons, particularly young people; to assist worthy youth in attaining vocational excellence, and to aid handicapped persons in regaining happy, useful lives through the expending of funds directly for such purposes or by the furnishing of funds to other organizations organized for charitable, scientific research, or educational purposes, or the prevention of cruelty to children, all within the purview of Section 501 (c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code and the Regulations there under.
The specific purposes are:
- To give primacy to the human and spiritual rather than to the material values of life
- To encourage the daily living of the Golden Rule in all human relationships.
- To promote the adoption and application of higher, social, business, and professional standards
- To develop, by precept and example, a more intelligent, aggressive, and serviceable citizenship.
- To provide through this club, a practical means to form enduring friendships, to render altruistic service, and to build better communities.
- To cooperate in creating and maintaining that sound public opinion and high idealism which make possible the increase of righteousness, justice, patriotism, and goodwill.
- For the purpose aforesaid, to take over the assets, rights, and franchises of the incorporated club, known as Kiwanis Club of Berea, KY and its members.
- To do all such things as are incidental or conducive to the attainment of the above objects.
